Brighton Digital Festival Bring Your Own Beamer

Earlier this month I projected my Organic Dialectics project as part of the Brighton Digital Festival 'Bring Your Own Beamer' event. There was a diverse array of work on view from cat gifs to Matrix effect shader code and analogue oscilloscope displays. All of these were brought together in an anarchic and exciting mix on a single screen alongside other installations.

I updated the openFrameworks app to use the Touch OSC iPhone app so that I could control the camera remotely as well as tweak and update the parameters and settings.

I also added a Lorenz system which generates the values for the proportion of each mesh to include in the the final render. This provided a smooth movement between points but one which is not repetitive and predictable. To offset the smooth organic movement I also added a noise parameter which, when above a set lower limit, makes the mesh proportions random values adding a glitch-like effect.
